About KIAN

KIAN is a Ukrainian womenswear brand. We make our clothes in our own workshop in Kharkiv: we do not resell finished garments and we do not place orders with other people's factories. From the pattern to the last seam, a piece passes through people we know by name.

Having our own production is, above all, about control. We see how a fabric behaves under the machine and can rework the fit while the model is still a sample. We can cut more of a size that sold out in a week instead of waiting for next season. And we can drop a model that photographs well and sits badly on a person — a decision that costs us money, but it is ours to make.

What we make is a base wardrobe: pieces that work with each other and do not need an occasion. Quiet colours, simple silhouettes, fabrics that survive the wash. This is clothing for people who get dressed every day rather than for a shoot — and we mean that as a compliment.

The range is renewed in small runs. That means fewer leftovers, fewer end-of-season markdowns, and a better chance that the piece you bought is not on every second person.
